Jerry Flannery Match Report:

Ospreys V Munster (21 – 25) 9th January 2009
Munster back on track

Congratulations on great win and an excellent personal performance Jerry, what is the feeling in the Munster camp?
We are absolutely delighted to get a win. It has been brilliant for squad morale and we are all just pleased with a good all around performance. It was great to see people like Paul O’Connell the flagship of Munster and then the younger lads like Conan all playing their parts. The last 15 – 20 mins we reverted to the old school way that Munster play we just kept grinding away at them.

How do you feel now about the game against Sale, are they the team to beat?
We just put in a big performance and we are delighted with it, but we know we need to go up another level. There is no reason why we shouldn’t win on Friday night. It is difficult to pick out the biggest opposition in the Heineken Cup, teams that aren’t performing very well in the league; like London Irish last year and Saracens at the moment can do very well in the cup. It’s very much up to how the team performs on the night, but we are ready to put in another huge performance and know what we need to do.
